The Interconnectedness of Nature

In 1926, the last wolf pack in Yellowstone was wiped out,
causing the ecosystem to be thrown out of balance.
The reintroduction of wolves, starting in 1995,
 transformed the Yellowstone ecosystem,
saving it from imbalance and
restoring its natural beauty.”

The Bravery of Solitude

Drawing and painting require the bravery of solitude.
The creative act demands
disciplined labor and skill.
To be an artist is to search the world with a benevolent
eye for all the subtle beauty that the infinite world offers.”

Awaken Your Emotions

"The purpose of the artist is simply to reproduce in others' minds the impression which a scene or subject has made upon them. A work of art does not appeal to the intellect. It does not appeal to the moral sense. Its aim is not to instruct, not to edify, but to awaken an emotion."
~ George Inness

A Reflection of Your Feelings

"How you draw is a reflection of how you feel about the world.
You’re not capturing it, you’re interpreting it."
~ Juliette Aristides

Learn To Really See

"Learning to draw is really a matter of learning to see, to see correctly,
and that means a good deal more than merely looking with the eye."
~ Kimon Nicolaides
