Some Silly Sketching

I keep thinking of this quote by Dr. Suess, “In my world, everyone's a pony and they all eat rainbows and poop butterflies!” So I decided to do more silly sketching. Embracing silliness isn’t foolish and can reduce stress and promote a sense of joy and playfulness. Engaging in silly sketching is not a stupid exercise. It can reduce stress while fostering creativity, innovation, and fun! This is today's Drawing Everyday Watercolor and Ink Sketch called 'Some Silly Sketching' I'll be posting my sketches regularly on our Facebook Drawing Everyday Group throughout the summer. You are welcome to join, even if you don't draw. ✍️

A LoveThat Lasts A Lifetime

“Horses aren’t a hobby that you pick up for a while and put back down.
They are a love that lasts a lifetime.”

One Month Of Sketching Everyday!

"Get on a daily routine... Working is a process not a product.
Success comes from the word, succeed: Latin: 'to under go.'
You must keep moving."
~ Nicoletta Baumeiste

Symbols of Joy and Accomplishment

"Hummingbirds are symbolic of love and joy
and of accomplishing that which seems impossible."
~ Sandy Sandy

Hummingbirds can migrate more than 3,500 miles twice a year!
What seems like an impossible feat for such a tiny creature, happens without fail,
year after year. They often return to the place of their birth again and again,
to build nests and have 2-3 broods every spring and summer!

You can find out more about attracting and caring for these flying flowers
and about my hummingbirds here in SandyLand by going HERE.

Some say to draw and paint what you love and also to draw the same thing
20 times or more, so here's some more of my recent summer sketches!

Love Is All

"Ah, love is old,
love is new.
Love is all,
 love is you."
~ John Lennon & Paul McCartney

"When you find something you love, feed and nurture that passion.
Run after it, like it's the last train of the night
and it's already starting to leave the station."
~ Sandy
