No Time to Draw?

"Save the excuses. It’s not about “having” time.
It’s about making time. If it matters, you will make time."
~~~~
Even if you only had 2 minutes a day to spare over the next three months, that's
enough time to make a difference in your seeing ability and drawing skill.
~~~~~
Today, I wanted to demonstrate that this challenge is not so much about creating beautiful drawings as it is about getting into the habit of sketching something everyday. Like I say when teaching, I feel that the process of creating is just as important, if not more so, than the end product. You don't have to feel obligated to post something on facebook everyday either. Post as little or a much as you want.

Today's sketch was done in under 2 minutes from this rather dark photo I took this week of a black coywolf that has been visiting our property. It is not a good photo by any means, and yet I was able to easily extract the reference I needed  for this gesture drawing. Like I always say,
"Everything is sketchable!"

Forget that you are drawing a "thing". . . Squint, put down marks and look at shapes,
relationships, angles and look at negative space as you draw.

Happy Creating My Friends!
